Structural Design is the process of creating a safe and functional structure under any load. During this process, our structural engineers determine a structure's stability, strength, and rigidity.
Structural Design is the fundamental part of civil engineering where we follow five essential steps such as:
- Modelling- It includes foundations, columns, beams, frames, trusses, and other elements.
- Load Analysis- We analyse the loads such as Dead Loads, Live Loads, Wind Loads, Earthquake Loads, Earth Pressure, Thermal Loads etc.
- Structural Analysis- It is known as the global analysis. Here we investigate how the structural model behaves with the various load combinations made.
- Structural Design- This process involves dimensioning a diverse range of parts of the building based on the analysis results.
- Detailing- Structural Detailing consists of Beam-Column or Column Based Connections, number of reinforcement bars, bolt grade, weld throat thickness, end plates etc.
